The Morning Briefing: Happy New Year and Let’s Have Some Fun

POLITICS & POLICY

Happy New Year From the Briefing to End All Briefings

As I kick off my first full calendar year at the helm of this Morning Briefing I would sincerely like to thank everyone who hangs out here with me every weekday morning. I promise that there won’t be a lot of sincerity going forward, as I generally find it to be icky.

When I first took over this space in August I had a lot of ideas about how I wanted to turn the news/political site briefing model on its head. I needed to learn how to do daily briefing basics first, however, and that’s what I have been trying to do for the last several months.

Going forward, I would like to shake things up a bit with more interactivity with all of you and perhaps even more stream-of-consciousness rambling because I can make that fun.

There are a lot of Americans approaching 2020 with trepidation and negative attitudes. We don’t work that way here at the Kruiser Morning Briefing. We’ve got no time for the Gloom and Doom Brigade. They can get as ugly as they want heading towards the election, we’re not going to let them drag us down into their daddy issues-filled mud.

Having fun is the best way to irritate the outrage mob who will be very, very noisy in the coming months, so have fun we will.

A lot of it.
