It’s official: Harry and Meghan are royal hypocrites

Prince Harry and his American wife Meghan have relocated to Los Angeles in what is being described as a permanent move. It looks as though Meghan’s career in Hollywood is more important than Harry being a working member of the royal family.

I’m old enough to remember when the two of them promised they would not move to America as long as President Trump was in office. Just like all those other celebrities who dramatically said if Trump became president they would move to Canada or Europe, good old Harry and Meghan have proven to be hypocrites. They will live among their non-royal peers in Los Angeles. Just last January, a mere two months ago, the word from Meg’s friends was that she wasn’t willing to make the move until Trump is out of office.

“It’s by no means an immediate thing but there is a long-term plan to end up back in the US with a second home in Canada, where they will also spend a great deal of time,” the source said.

But Markle, 38, has said she won’t move back while Trump is president, according to the Mail, citing her friends.

Ahead of the 2016 election, and before she married 35-year-old Harry, the former actress blasted Trump as divisive and misogynist on Comedy Central’s “The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore.”

She said at the time that she was considering remaining in Toronto, where she filmed the USA Network’s “Suits,” if Trump won.

Turns out she’s all bark, no bite. Her husband apparently is willing to follow her lead. It sure looks like Harry has made a career change. He’s gone from making appearances and speeches in exchange for a pampered life of privilege and fame to working as his wife’s Hollywood agent. Markle didn’t remain in Canada after the 2016 election and she isn’t remaining in Canada now. Before the official announcement was made that Harry and Meghan would step away from their royal duties, Disney signed Meghan to narrate a film to be released in April.

Remember the video of Harry pitching Meghan as a voiceover artist to Disney’s Bob Iger? It was actually filmed last July. It resurfaced during the Megxit drama in January. While attending the London premiere of the Lion King movie remake, Harry pitched Meghan’s services during a reception. Yes, it was awkward. While Meghan chats up Beyonce and Jay-Z, her husband is asking for a job for his wife. (Beyonce is the voice of Nala in the movie.)

Resurfaced video from this past July appears to show PH chatting it up with Bob Iger at the ‘”Lion King” premiere in London — during which he seems to say, “You know she does voice-overs?” to a genuinely surprised Iger who responds with, “Oh really? Ah …”

Iger goes on to say he didn’t know that, and Harry follows up by saying Meg is “really interested.” Moments later, you hear someone clearly say “We’d love to try.” Mind you, this was all being said right next to Meg as she hugged Beyonce and Jay-Z.

With Meghan’s Disney deal signed, the couple announced their departure from living the life of working royals and fled to Canada. Meghan is the narrator for the Disney live-action documentary Elephant. Then the coronavirus began spreading and Canada announced it was closing its border with the U.S. Buckingham Palace confirmed her first non-royal role since her marriage to Harry. It debuts April 3. Conveniently, Meghan and Harry left Canada to avoid being stuck there after the border closure.

The replies to that tweet from Disney are brutal. And, Disney looks to be cashing in on the royal title though she is not supposed to be entitled to cash in on it. Wasn’t that the deal they made with the Queen when they left the fold? Maybe she is skirting the issue since she allegedly is giving her financial compensation to charity.

So, they are living in California now and obviously Meghan wants to revive her career. She was a B level celebrity when she met her husband, as a member of the Suits cast. It was a good show but she wasn’t particularly terrific in her role. Perhaps voiceover work will be enough for her.

The couple is in sync with their Trump-bashing. In March, Reuters reported that Harry was pranked by two Russian hoaxers just days after his exit from royal life was announced. He went so far as to say Trump “has blood on his hands” over climate change.

Russian pranksters say they duped Britain’s Prince Harry into saying his new life outside the royal family is “much better” and that U.S. President Donald Trump has “blood on his hands” over climate change.

Reuters was unable to verify the authenticity of the recordings, made by the two well-known Russian hoaxers, Vladimir Kuznetsov and Alexei Stolyarov, which have been published in Britain’s Sun newspaper and extracts put on YouTube.

“Unfortunately the world is being led by some very sick people,” he said in clips published on YouTube.

“I don’t mind saying this to you guys, I think the mere fact that Donald Trump is pushing the coal industry so big in America, he has blood on his hands.”

Talking about how change could be brought about quickly, he said: “If Donald Trump can become President of the United States of America, then anything’s possible, right?”

What a putz. He’ll fit right in with the Hollywood mindset. They arrived in L.A. on a private jet, just like the other climate change alarmist hypocrites.

Wootton quoted a royal insider as saying: “Harry and Meghan have left Canada now for good. The borders were closing and flights were stopping. They had to get out.

“But this move was planned for some time. They realized Canada would not work out for various reasons and they want to be based in the Los Angeles area.

“They have a big support network there. It’s where their new team of Hollywood agents and PRs and business managers are based. Meghan has lots of friends there and, of course, her mum Doria.”

We’ll see how long this lasts. Perhaps we’ll see the emotional hot takes of Harry and Meg when Trump is re-elected. That might be entertaining.
