Black Lies Matter? Yet Another Police Shooting the Group Has Championed Isn’t As Advertised

News & Politics

Let’s go through a quick checklist. If you didn’t know these things about some of the most notorious cases involving the shootings of black men, you can be forgiven if you only took your cues from the mainstream media or Black Lives Matter.

If you depend on Black Lives Matter to tell you the truth about the biggest cases and causes they champion, you might be a chump of the first order, uninformed, or both. It’s very difficult to fundraise or raise hell when your subject isn’t a sympathetic victim. It’s tough to enrage your rioters, for example, when they know that Breonna Taylor was moving money for her ex-the-drug-dealer, the one the cops were looking for on the night she was killed.

Documents leaked to WAVE 3 News purport to show Taylor visited him in jail, moved money, kept as much as $15,000 for her ex, and visited his drug house. The dealer used her address as his own and it’s why police were looking for him there the night of the shooting.

This is not to say that some police interactions with suspected perpetrators are pristine. We all know they’re not. Take the case of Philando Castile in Minnesota, for example. His was the police shooting caught on live stream video by his girlfriend. Castile, a good guy, was also a concealed carry handgun carrier. As Maj Toure of Black Guns Matter told me at the time, it would have been best if Castile had asked the cop how he would like to proceed instead of reaching in his pocket for his driver’s license. As it happened, Castile told the Hispanic cop that he was reaching for his license from his pocket but the cop told him not to reach for anything. Castile did anyway. The cop shot him, frightened he was reaching for the gun. The cop was fired and prosecuted and acquitted of murder.

Eric Garner was taken down by New York cops at the behest of the local tax revenuers who didn’t like him selling tax-free loose cigarettes. He died when police used a hold on the large, physically imposing man with pre-existing serious health problems. He’s the man who said, “I can’t breathe.”

The argument is not whether these people deserved to die. They didn’t. But it also doesn’t mean the cops or others involved should be prosecuted and go to jail. It also means Black Lives Matter activists and their allies in antifa shouldn’t foment mob violence based on phony information based on the fraudulent assumption that these cases are always the cops’ fault.

No one’s business should be torched, nor should elderly people get terrorized as they eat a peaceful meal, nor should any church get wrecked because BLM organizers, whose objective is to create chaos, create that chaos irrespective of any facts.

That means it’s up to you to learn the facts so you don’t jump ugly based on lies. If all the facts aren’t out there, then hold your fire. Wait to be outraged by provable outrages, not because the fundraisers at Black Lives Matter say so. There are only so many times you should be a chump.

  1. No, Black Lives alone do not Matter if all Americans don’t. You people are crazy and need to be put into your place, once and for all.
America is not and never will be all Black, so what do you think?
It’s about all America Mattering, not just BLM.

    1. Actions have consequences. When confronted by a law enforcement officer, comply with his/her request. If you feel wronged, acting belligerent will only escalate the problem.

    2. I agree that all Americans matters and if the Democratic suppressed blacks want to start a way then a war they will get including the racist Democratic party as well.

      1. Mr. Robinette, nobody wants a war as that would just bring useless untold death and more than likely destroy the country. The laws that are on the books just need to be enforced equally and be justified. I am a 26 year retired soldier. I say no to destroying the countries electrical grids. I say no to attacking nuclear power plants from every angle possible. Drones in the air dropping HE from 550 feet down the smoke stacks. I say no to igniting oil fields here on our own homeshores. I say no to destroying all oil refineries in operation in the United States. I say no to deatroying all ammunition plants in the Unites States. I say no to freeing every person in prison. This is only part of the things that would happen if some stupid war would begin and end rapidly. Black people are not crazy can you say the same about white people.

    3. Mr. Lanham, I understand your point of view. I am a combat retired soldier 26 years. I have seen alot in my time. I have entered houses that we know were dirty in combat and never took life because i was afraid. We soldiers do not see color. We did nit fear in Kosovo most of the combatants were white, we did not dear in Africa combatants were black. T hi is country is off balance in many ways from policing to politics. It is not about the people with either of the two previously mentioned. It is about the rich versus the poor. The have and the have-nots. That is what Amerca has become. There is no way that rich CEO’s should be allowed to move critical goods making capabilities off shore. We invented things for the safety of our people, but can’t buy anything invented in America for the benefit of our own people. The talk is reparations for the offspring of former slaves, i don’t want that, if that happened you would see a gigantic uptick in sales of rims, Mercedes, and gold. That is nit what we as black people need. If the laws that are in place now were just informed there would be no strife. If things were fair across the board their would be zero problems. Community policing should be done by people that look like there demographic of the area to be policed. Never send white middle classed reared in rural of suburban America to a black neighborhood to enforce the law it creates disdain. We know that the police were started to capture and keep former slaves local for free labor on t hi is huge plantations that black people could no longer be forced to work on. Do some research on your own and dive deep of you really care about America as i would still die for America but I want my country to love me as much as I love it.

      1. Thank you for your service Fredrick!!!!!!. You seem level headed and well informed. I have learned over time that the cultures are very different in our country and not just because of race. I grew up in the deep south in Louisiana…..small town pop. 6000. We had only a couple of black families….most farmers like mine. We all got a long…all hard workers. We never had an issue with them and I hope they had no issues with us. One of them even baby sat me as a child and I lover her to death. Later we even had a latino family. I went to school with thier 3 sons. They were awsome friends as well. That being said, I got older and worked in another area and actually saw segregation. It was not forced, just that the blacks and whites did not mix. I was really shocked. Then I moved to some larger cities…..thats where I see real problems, and with all the races. I guess what I am saying is…I see your point with demographics. Because I see the biggest issue is more with class and culture than race even though racism does still exist. I wish I had the answer, but I don’t think there is any quick fix. I get so dissappointed seeing ugly things happen. Just know this, I appreciate you and what you stand for. God Bless you friend.

  2. It’s not till we get to the end of Peyton’s comment do we get what’s bothering him–it’s slavery. Peyton, let go if it, it’s over. Enough, already. There must be some factor that explains why you are so preoccupied with race you can think of nothing else. I’ve heard the many levels of inequality–income, education, housing, net worth, etc, etc,– So What! — we all got problems, it’s getting to be boring. Why tell me about your problem. As we used to say: “Go tell it to the Chaplain”. Pity-pity my poor Blacks. I’m getting so fed up with everybody who has no idea of race or why a multiracial society has a “race problem”. It has one–by definition: if there is more than one race –you got a problem. I think all this race anguish–discrimination –prejudice–riots–critical race theories–Black studies–tears over slavery — writers on race with an agenda–moralizing and putting Whites to shame -that’s no way to win friends — stop pestering Whites– complaining: “We don’t get our rights!” — begging Whites for diversity or “inclusion” or begging for reparations. Complaining of “discrimination,” “poor schooling,” “underemployment,” “standardized tests,” and “school to prison pipeline” All is nonsense or plain stupidity. It has gotten Blacks no where — for over a few hundred years for heaven’s sake all because they refuse to admit the fact they are thought not as competent as Whites and feel trapped in a White culture. If Blacks complain discrimination or the way they are treated make them seem inferior that can only be due to the way Blacks think about it themselves. Today we think it’s a downright dirty shame that Blacks got a bad deal many hundred tears ago. Every country in the world has a race or caste problem. You can get all the reparations you want and we’ll still have a race problem. It”s the system–wild water is wet.

  3. I may have to re watch the Castile video again. As I recall the offi9cer told him to get his license and didn’t tell him not to.

  4. Of corse BLM lies . They lie for the delusional democrats . It’s another story of the masters and the slaves . The dog does not bite the hand that feeds them . And the dogs ( BLM ) are payed and feed very well . So to say ” black lies matter ” is right on .
