Trump Ready to Go to War With GOP Enemies

News & Politics

We haven’t heard much from Donald Trump since he left office one month ago. I’m sure he’d rather we did. But social media bans have done something no debate moderator was ever able to do: shut Donald Trump up.

It’s not like Trump has been hiding in Mar-a-Lago. Residents certainly know he’s there. According to Politico, Trump receives a standing ovation whenever he goes out to dinner at his club. And he’s been meeting with some people about his future. He’s recently met with former campaign manager Brad Parsacle to plot an online comeback. And he earlier met with Minority Whip Steve Scalise and his son Don.

Everyone knows Trump is eager to taste his revenge against the handful of Republicans who voted against him during impeachment. That appears to be his top priority as he re-emerges to do battle with his enemies.

According to three people familiar with the planning, Trump will soon begin vetting candidates at Mar-a-Lago who are eager to fulfill his promise to exact vengeance upon incumbent Republicans who’ve scorned him, and to ensure every open GOP seat in the 2022 midterms has a MAGA-approved contender vying for it.

Trump already has received dozens of requests from prospective candidates seeking to introduce themselves and nab his endorsement, and formal meetings with them could begin as early as March. Now that Trump has survived his second Senate impeachment trial, he has shifted his focus to post-presidential activism — a venture mostly bankrolled by his new leadership PAC, Save America, which had $31 million in its coffers at the start of this month.

Money will not be a problem for the former president. He’s always been a prodigious fundraiser and he is preparing his online fundraising tools for the long haul.

But other Republicans want to utilize Trump as a GOP surrogate during the mid terms.

The planning for Trump’s coming revenge tour comes as other top Republicans try to cajole him into working with the party’s apparatus ahead of next year’s midterm elections, rather than recruiting rival candidates whose bids could complicate primaries and cost the GOP critical seats. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) is expected to meet with Trump over the weekend to discuss his upcoming plans, including the former president’s desire to push for voter reforms at a time when the topic of election integrity has created a major split among elected Republicans.

More than four years later and these Republicans still don’t understand Donald Trump. Trump is not a Republican. He doesn’t care a fig for the Republican Party, except as a vehicle to give him power. He has no loyalty to the party or people in it. If by exacting his revenge he prevents the party from becoming a majority, it is immaterial to his campaign to destroy his enemies.

In this, he has the support of his base of voters. They are the majority in the party and will indulge their leader in his quest to take down those he perceives as having wronged him.

Whatever Republican Party emerges from this civil war, it won’t look anything like the party of Teddy Roosevelt, Robert Taft, or Ronald Reagan. It is Donald Trump’s party and will be until he relinquishes power voluntarily or unto death.

  1. Why should he continue working with the “party’s apparatus”? They backstabbed him and infuriated many, if not most, GOP voters. If the RINOs are not purged, many of us will not support the GOP financially or vote for them in the primary elections, even if it leads to the loss of some seats. This is a price that must be paid to clean up our house, unless Mr. Trump can facilitate the replacement of the RINOs in the primaries. They declared war on him, and I hope he responds with that in mind.

  2. We need to remember that President Trump will do this fixing the right way , God will stand with him and he knows it . He will consult with others , but he will also consult with the Lord and do what is best for America and in a way that is best for America with God guiding him.

    1. Trump is not the President anymore. Can you 2021 really claim that the Lord corresponds with Donalöd Trump- How is this done?? By e-mail??? Haven´t you found iout yet that DT is not mor christian than the devil himself!!

  3. The RINOs, starting with Romney, must go. The unprincipled stand-for-nothings, starting with McConnell, must go. Election laws must be reformed with real standards like I.D. proving who the Hell you are, or we may as well resign ourselves to daily peaceful protests at the Capitol on a scale much larger than last January.

  4. I just hope former President Trump will stop and think before sounding off. (I know he’s East Coast.). He needs to not allow his revenge against a few turn into unthinking action. We all know he has a temper, but we also all know that he has common sense. That’s what made him a strong President. As a businessman, he looked at the bottom line. In his business that worked for his profit. As our president, he really worked for the everyday US Citizen. He needs to get back to that kind of thinking. We need him to move forward with the same effort he led us with during his term as President. He withstood everything the Dem’s and PAU (politics as usual), Rep’s threw at him, and made life better for too many people to regress to their ‘finger pointing blame’ crusades.
His focus needs to be on the election lawsuits out their, in hopes that the evidence will finally be allowed to be presented.

    1. I think you have missed something here. The sentence should read: “As a businessman, he looked at the bottom line and never paid his bills himself. In his business he used a lot of layers to fraud his suppliers, that worked for his profit. As our president, he really worked for his own profit and not for the everyday US Citizen.. “

  5. I am looking forward to when they snatch the gavel from Pelosi’s hand and them start the prosecution of the Democrats! And lets hope expose some corrupt judges!

  6. The Trump experts, advisers and the omniscient head-waggers must be pals with Karl Rove…Geesh. Try to think ALL THE WAY back to January.Commies along with the vilest POS’s in the deep state,a.k.a.,the mike pence’s stole the election.President Trump won the election.Him nor his mouth lost the election….Again it was stolen.

    1. Carl Rove with his white board is another example of the so called experts that pop up when ever there is a problem, like the so called experts during Desert Storm, the experts for the Middle East, Covid experts that reads the newspaper and goes on to give their expert advice, which anyone can do, even CNN, and MSNBC, And even FOX, even though they are wrong 99.9% of the time.

  7. RINOs, by hating and betraying the President, they hated and betrayed me.

Democrats, by stealing the election, you have stolen my vote, my right to vote, and, probably, my future.

Am I supposed to forget that?
