Former President Donald Trump released a fiery statement excoriating Republican strategist Karl Rove after Rove penned a scathing criticism of Trump’s speech at CPAC.
Trump called on Fox News to fire Rove and exhorted the Republican party to drop him.
“Karl Rove has been losing for years, except for himself. He’s a RINO of the highest order, who came to the Oval Office lobbying for 5G for him and a group. After a lengthy discussion with Rove and Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, I said no, they’re not qualified. Our Nation can do much better!” said the former president.
“Karl Rove’s voice on Fox is always negative for those who know how to win. He certainly hasn’t helped Fox in the ratings department, has he?” Trump added.
“He’s a pompous fool with bad advice and always has an agenda. He ran the campaign for two Senators in Georgia, and did a rotten job with bad ads and concepts. Should have been an easy win, but he and his friend Mitch blew it with their $600 vs. $2,000 proposal,” he continued.
Trump went on to claim that the election was fraudulent and that Republicans would have lost seats in the House of Representatives and fared even worse in the Senate if it weren’t for him.
The statement was meant to refute the arguments Rove made in an op-ed at the Wall Street Journal. Rove noted that the former president got explosive applause at the conference, but that only 68% of the attendees wanted him to run for president again.
Supporters want him to offer a forward-looking vision, but he won’t. Some view his declarations of civil war on Republicans as counterproductive and claims of political power hollow. And his repeated cries of stolen elections are causing some supporters to abandon politics altogether and others to doubt his claims.
Elements of Mr. Trump’s speech were fine. But true to form, the former president did it his way. The speech’s divisive, controversial and embittered parts dominated the coverage. He might be pleased by that, but shouldn’t be. Republicans shouldn’t be either.
The former president has been much more vocal about politics since his speech at CPAC. Earlier on Thursday he released a separate statement excoriating the Wall Street Journal editorial board for calling on Republicans to drop him over the failures of the congressional elections.

President Trump is right and Karl Rove is as usual wrong. With Trump the Republican party grew somewhat of a spine. Before him they were a bunch of spineless jellyfish. I want a representative and a senator who will fight for what is right. Not go along to get along. The democrat party is trying to take total control of this country and now is not the time to have people in office who have no backbone.
President Trump is so right about Rove. Rove is a huge example of what is wrong within the Republican Party. He is a sniveling, spineless, compromising, bureaucrat completely out of touch with the working class people of AMERICA. Fox and every other media outlet would do well to terminate it’s relationship with this out of date has been for someone who is actually in the 21st century.

I thought Trump’s CPAC speech was excellent as did all of my Repub friends and most of the conservative pundits. Rove has to know that the election was lost through fraud –many establishment Repubs know it, too but are OK with it as their easy acceptance of the steal shows.

I voted for Trump twice but never again. He did accomplish some good policies and stopped the country from four more years of Obama, but that’s it.
He singlehandedly cost us the Senate. It was expected to be a slam dunk to win the two Senate seats in Georgia, but telling people the election was being stolen kept a lot of Republicans at home. Sad.

People may forget that Karl Rove is a neo-conservative who came on the scene as the advisor to George W. Bush and served in his Administration. What did George give us? Not much. He listened to the neocons and we got embroiled in Iraq and are still there! I don’t trust the man or his advise or his opinions. I think he is a swamp dweller.
I’ve said all along that the main thing wrong with the Republicans, prior to Trump, was that they didn’t have the nerve to “TAKE ON” the Democrats. After Trump was elected and as he progressed in his agenda, more Republicans started to support him and stand with him to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN…BUT, once the election was over and biden was announced as our President you could see a lot of these Republicans “Jumping Ship” and slowly crawling BACK into their shells… We need to stand UNITED and support the agenda to get to the TRUTH about the election…and when the 2022 election comes be sure and elect the candidate that WILL “FIGHT” (yes I said FIGHT) and elect a worthy Representative/Senator that believes in AMERICA and will stand up and support the CONSITUTION and it’s AMENDMENTS that has made America the most successful and respected country in the world…
