Biden Commits Another $400 Million Of Your Taxpayer Dollars To Ukraine

US

The Biden administration has announced another $400 million in military aid to Ukraine, making the total financial assistance more than $63 billion.

This aid package is the 15th presidential drawdown since Russia invaded Ukraine in late February.

The latest package includes four more Lockheed Martin-created High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems, ammunition for them, three tactical vehicles, a thousand rounds of 155 mm artillery ammunition, demolition munitions, counter-battery systems, and spare parts.

The Department of Defense (DOD) statement says, “The United States has now committed $2.2 billion of security assistance to Ukraine in the last three weeks as we support their fight to defend their democracy. In total, the United States has committed approximately $8 billion in security assistance to Ukraine since the beginning of the Biden Administration.”

This total defense assistance is on top of the initial $54 billion in aid Congress approved since the beginning of the war, bringing the estimated total to just over $63.2 billion in assistance since February.

Biden has continued to state this habitual spending on Ukraine will continue indefinitely. “We are going to support Ukraine as long as it takes,” Joe Biden said recently at a press conference during the NATO summit in Madrid.

On Monday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called for $750 billion to aid in the reconstruction of Ukraine. He said the rebuilding is the “common task of the entire democratic world.”

“The reconstruction of Ukraine is not a local project, is not a project of one nation, but a common task of the entire democratic world — all countries, all countries who can say they are civilized,” Zelenskyy said.

It is unknown how much more American taxpayer dollars will go to Ukraine as the war continues. One thing is certain, the American people has begun to feel as though Biden cares more for Ukraine than his own nation. Billions of dollars in aid continue to flow while Americans are still facing record inflation, high gas prices, food shortages and more.
