Ruhle Smiles & Nods As Guest Compares Banning CRT Books to Nazi Germany

On Wednesday night’s The 11th Hour on MSNBC, host Stephanie Ruhle proved that she hates conservatives who want to prevent the ideological and sexual indoctrination of children so much that she allowed one of her guests to compare their efforts to that of book burnings in Nazi Germany.

After smearing Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis for preventing Critical Race Theory and LGBTQ indoctrination from being taught in schools, which she suggested is making the teacher shortage worse, she cried to Texas Democrat Senator Roland Gutierrez: “Texas is also facing a teacher shortage. It’s not a surprise. Teachers are woefully overworked, underpaid, and now under attack. How do you get more qualified teachers in Texas classrooms?”

This led Gutierrez to wail that “70 percent of the teachers in Texas were actually thinking that they wouldn’t come back to teaching, over the next several years, because of a lot of the issues that are happening in the legislative process.”

Continuing his kvetching about Texas Governor Greg Abbott, Gutierrez said: “We had a weak, watered-down CRT bill, in a special session, because Abbott said we have to do something about CRT. Yet he won’t do anything about guns.”

“These aren’t problems,” he cried referring to the teaching of the racist Critical Race Theory. “But this is how bad things begin. And it’s how bad things may have begun historically. It is how — it’s what happened in Nazi Germany. They began to burn books, they began to tell people how to think.”

He claimed, “that is what’s happening with people like Rick DeSantis [sic], people like Greg Abbott.”

A responsible news anchor would’ve immediately stopped Gutierrez and told him the analogy he made was inappropriate and historically inaccurate.

Yet, Ruhle is neither responsible, smart, nor a news anchor. Not only did she fail to correct him, but she also sat there and smiled and nodded her head. Ruhle is a Democrat Party propagandist who will say anything to further her party’s radical leftist agenda.

August 17, 2022

STEPHANIE RUHLE: Roland, Texas is also facing a teacher shortage. It’s not a surprise. Teachers are woefully overworked, underpaid, and now under attack. How do you get more qualified teachers in Texas classrooms? It’s crucial.

STATE SENATOR ROLAND GUTIERREZ: You know, it’s really hard. We just saw a survey in Texas where 70 percent of the teachers in Texas were actually thinking that they wouldn’t come back to teaching, over the next several years, because of a lot of the issues that are happening in the legislative process. Sometimes I think that Abbott is DeSantis’s mini-me. Because what Florida does, Texas does. We had a weak, watered-down CRT bill, in a special session, because Abbott said we have to do something about CRT. Yet he won’t do anything about guns. My suspicion is that that CRT bill is going to come back in the spring. We are going to see a much stringent CRT bill. Let’s face it.

These aren’t problems. But this is how bad things begin. And it’s how bad things may have begun historically. It is how — it’s what happened in Nazi Germany. They began to burn books, they began to tell people how to think. That is what’s happening with people like Rick DeSantis [sic], people like Greg Abbott. People need to wake up. There is certainly a woke problem. But it’s the fact that people need to wake up as to what’s happening with these two leaders in this country.

RUHLE: All right. Well, so if Greg Abbott has done nothing on gun violence, you don’t have enough teachers, and Texas has an enormous power grid problem — okay, these are three issues that impact people across your state. And the governor is doing nothing. If he is doing nothing on any of those, what is he doing for the people of Texas? And the reason I ask is because this guy may have his eye on the White House.
