‘Top Gun: Maverick’ Accomplishes Mind-Blowing Feat On Labor Day Weekend

News & Politics

Top Gun: Maverick, this summer’s biggest cinema blockbuster, just did something no other film in American history has done.

The unashamedly pro-American and non-woke movie became the first to top the box office on both Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends, earning $7.9 million over the three-day stretch. What makes this feat even more impressive is that ticket prices were dropped to $3 per piece on Saturday for National Cinema Day, so each ticket purchase for at least one day was guaranteed to gain less per purchase.

Brad Pitt’s “Bullet Train” earned the second-most over the weekend with $7.33 million, and “Spiderman: No Way Home” came in third with $6.5 million.

Not coincidentally, all of these movies aren’t woke and were well-received by audiences, further highlighting that Americans crave entertainment that doesn’t push some left-wing hobbyhorse issue. Movies that promote wholesome, pro-patriotism, and strong masculine characters are still in high demand from the American public.

Hopefully, this trend will wake up Hollywood and spur them to make more movies like that.

If you still haven’t seen the adrenaline-packed joyride that is Maverick, check out the trailer.
