And, Cut! 74th Emmys Has Lowest Amount Of Viewers In Ceremony’s History

Monday night’s edition of the annual Emmy Awards received the lowest viewership numbers in the history of the ceremony.

The NBC broadcast of the show only garnered 5.9 million viewers, which was a 25 percent decrease from the 2021 ceremony, when 7.9 million viewers watched on CBS.

In all honesty, this shouldn’t be a surprise. Award ceremonies like the Emmys and Oscars are no longer about highlighting shows, movies, and actors that set new standards of excellence in the entertainment industry. They have become multi-hour broadcasts where rich celebrities who have sold out for the woke agenda lecture the rest of America on how they are better than us because of how frequently they virtue-signal, which isn’t exactly what most people want to watch.

Furthermore, as the entertainment industry continues to find new ways to promote woke ideologies, people are getting less interested in the majority of what Hollywood chooses to produce. The viewership numbers behind non-woke entertainment , like “The Terminal List” and “Top Gun: Maverick,”  are proof that the progressive garbage Hollywood creates is failing and that people want stories that will entertain and not lecture.

So as the Emmys continue to dip to new viewership lows, one can hope that this will be a sign to folks in the studios that Americans are fed up up with the garbage they call entertainment and start producing stories that they want to see.
