The word democracy is one of the many buzzwords that the leftist media spits out ad nauseam without ever actually meaning it. They don’t really support democracy. Just look at how they act on election night when Republicans win. They use the word as a proverbial hammer to hit Republicans over the head in their cynical pursuit of power for their friends in the Democrat Party. Such was the case at the end of Sunday’s Face the Nation on CBS when Margaret Brennan crowed about democracy being under strain in Israel due to newly elected prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu who the leftist media despises.
“Democracy also feels under strain in Israel, where tens of thousands took to the streets Saturday to protest against their new right wing government,” Brennan cried.
She then attempted to subtly give viewers the impression that Netanyahu is similar to Russia’s Vladimir Putin or North Korea’s Kim Jong-Un by discussion the dire situation in their regions:
Meanwhile, Ukraine’s democracy continues its year-long battle to survive Vladimir Putin’s brutal onslaught. NATO warned last week that China is expanding its nuclear arsenal and so is North Korea. Kim Jong-un paraded a dozen intercontinental ballistic missiles down Pyongyang streets Wednesday.
Next up, Brennan suggested climate change was responsible for the earthquake in Turkey and Syria without ever saying the phrase climate change, as this entire segment was carefully written to relay Brennan’s leftist worldview to viewers without having to be blunt with them:
If the food and migration crisis in drought stricken east Africa wasn’t already a sign of mother nature’s power she sent us another signal Monday. This one has taken the lives of 28,000 and counting. Lives in Turkey and war torn Syria.
She ended by lecturing on the need for political unity in the United States: “For all of us, the ground does feel like it is shifting. Global instability may be a constant for the near future and that may be a needed reminder to put our petty political disagreements in perspective.”
