Univision: SF Bill to Hand Fentanyl Traffickers to ICE ‘Causes Controversy’

Univision reached a new milestone in their ludicrous defense of open borders.

It happened during a report by Carolina Sarassa, of Noticiero Univisión: Edición Digital, where the anchor red-flagged a proposed San Francisco bill that would hand over undocumented fentanyl dealers to ICE, as “causing controversy”.

What controversy? The report does not explain how the deportation of fentanyl traffickers is controversial, nor did it cite anyone opposed to the bill, or anything at all about how Biden’s open borders have resulted in the death by fentanyl overdose of –not 1,400 since 2020 as Sarassa vaguely mentioned- but over 71,000 people in the United States, in 2021 only.

Watch Sarassa use weasel words to frame a report that can ultimately be written off as Univision´s official stance on the effort to curb the fentanyl crisis: calling out the deportation of criminals for “causing controversy”:

A proposed law by the San Francisco Board of Supervisors is causing controversy because if passed, it would make it easier to deport immigrants guilty of selling fentanyl. That would be an exception to sanctuary laws, and they would become collaborators of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement, known as ICE. Some 1,400 people have reportedly died from fentanyl use since 2020.

“A proposed law by the San Francisco Board of Supervisors is causing controversy because if passed, it would make it easier to deport immigrants guilty of selling fentanyl,” chimed Sarassa.

Again: what controversy is the anchor talking about?

Did she mean that making it easier to deport immigrants guilty of selling fentanyl is controversial? Or that such a bill would cause controversy for making a dent on California’s sacred sanctuary laws?

Is it controversial because people who actually care about the wellbeing of citizens vs. rampant crime in the hands of illegal aliens will now collaborate with ICE? Does saving lives cause controversy?

In truth, the only controversy regarding the above mentioned San Francisco bill, is that it should be standard operating procedure, not only at sanctuary states, but wherever undocumented drug dealers are now running the show.

It appears that the biggest controversy was within Univision’s newsroom.
