Ana Navarro Thought Murdaugh Murder Trial was Murdoch Misinformation Trial

News & Politics

With the media hyper-focused on the murder trial of former South Carolina District Attorney Alex Murdaugh (as if there wasn’t an ongoing ecological disaster in East Palestine, Ohio), of course, the cackling coven of ABC’s The View had to weigh in. And with her wealth of intelligence, faux conservative Ana Navarro joked that she originally thought the trial was against Fox Corporation boss Rupert Murdoch since the last names are pronounced similarly.

Navarro let it be known that she was bored by the trial and didn’t care, but at one point admitted she “got really enthusiastic” because she initially thought the head of Fox News was on trial for “misinformation.”

“Like, at first I got really enthusiastic about it because I thought ‘Ah, the Murdoch trial? You mean, it’s Rupert Murdoch for spreading misinformation over at Fox News?’ But no! It’s this yahoo,” she huffed.

She also suggested that Murdaugh wasn’t behind bars because he was white. “I’m not interested at all. It does piss me off though because this guy has stolen millions and millions –  A black or Latino steals a pack of cigarettes and they’re in jail for years,” she proclaimed.

She provided no evidence of such cases.

The assertion that race was what kept Murdaugh out of prison, and not his family’s perverse legal dynasty in the state, was shared by racist Sunny Hostin. “So, when you have this rich wealthy white guy dynasty member testifying and thinking that he could get off, I think we want to know as armchair detectives does the system really work?” she wondered.

Hostin also ridiculously compared the Murdaugh murder trial to the trial of Kyle Rittenhouse. “It did bring to mind Kyle Rittenhouse who testified on his own behalf and got off,” she scoffed. “And so, I wonder – My only question is after testifying: does he get off?”

Rittenhouse took the stand to explain what happened during his self-defense incident when three violent leftist rioters assaulted him, one of which threatened him earlier in the night and tried to take his rifle. A jury of his peers heard all the evidence and exonerated him.

Navarro and Hostin did get excited about the possibility of former President Trump being dragged into court:

NAVARRO: Listen, honey, I promise you this: if Donald Trump goes on trial I’ll watch every single minute and put it on replay!

HOSTIN: I think we’re all going to watch that!

Of course, this drew a raucous reaction from the audience.

Ana Navarro’s ridiculousness was made possible because of lucrative sponsorships from CarFax and Swiffer. Their contact information is linked.

ANA NAVARRO: I watched this – Like, at first I got really enthusiastic about it because I thought “Ah, the Murdoch trial? You mean, it’s Rupert Murdoch for spreading misinformation over at Fox News?” But no! It’s this yahoo.

I’m not interested at all. It does piss me off though because this guy has stolen millions and millions –

SUNNY HOSTIN: From his clients, actually also.

NAVARRO: A black or Latino steals a pack of cigarettes and they’re in jail for years.

ALYSSA FARAH GRIFFIN: Yeah, and he defrauded a lot of black and brown people.

HOSTIN: I enjoyed it very much. I was sort of watching it like this. And that’s mainly because I think that it is very unusual for this sort of dynasty to exist, of lawyers. Right? It’s a dynasty of lawyers. They know the law better than everyone else. They fixed the game.

But he testified and first thing you learn in criminal law is never testify as the defendant. Because prosecutors train to do it. I mean, I’ve only had the pleasure of cross examining maybe three defendants and you live for it. He gets up there and says – he admits to being a liar. So, like, are you telling the truth now or were you telling the truth then? It’s classic, something that you would see on television. He admits to being addicted. He also used the term, “I would never have intentionally done anything.” Well, maybe you did it when you were high on whatever opioids you used to take.

So, he really harmed himself, I think, in his testimony. So, when you have this rich wealthy white guy dynasty member testifying and thinking that he could get off, I think we want to know as armchair detectives does the system really work? It did bring to mind Kyle Rittenhouse who testified on his own behalf and got off. And so, I wonder – My only question is after testifying: does he get off?
