Steph Curry Wins NBA’s Annual Social Justice Award

The NBA hands out a variety of awards to players for different categories: Most Valuable Player (MVP), Defensive Player of the Year (DPOY), etc. But one trophy that the league now hands out, which shouldn’t be a surprise given how woke the league has become, is the “Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Social Justice Champion.”

Each year, all NBA teams pick a nominee from their respective teams that have done the most to be involved in social justice causes. It’s similar in nature to the NFL’s Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, but with an inherently progressive twist to it.

This year’s recipient of the award is Golden State Warriors superstar guard Steph Curry, who probably needed a pick-me-up trophy after his team got eliminated by the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round of this year’s playoffs.

Jokes aside, he does a lot off the court that made him a prime candidate for the award. Curry is involved in several organizations that focus on getting people to vote in political elections (for progressive candidates, obviously), and he’s donated millions to other groups that promote “gender equity” in sports.

Additionally, when visiting the White House in 2022 after winning the NBA Finals, Curry said a big motivating factor for him to fight for social justice was to negate racism.

“As an athlete, I consistently leverage my platform to amplify advocacy and address the pervasive issue of systemic racism,” Curry said. “I firmly believe that we must be vocal both on social media and in real life, taking tangible actions to effect real change in our society and for generations to come.”

After considering all this, he really is the perfect athlete to win the award this year. After all, he’s found a plethora of ways to spread toxic gender and racial ideologies within culture at large, so why not reward him for pushing a communist – excuse me, “progressive” – agenda?
