In an apparent blunder, President Joe Biden referred to the Congressional Black Caucus while delivering a speech at a Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute event.
After taking to the podium, Biden thanked members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus. But later during his remarks, he mentioned that his father used to say that all people are entitled to be treated with dignity as well as respect. Then, in an apparent mistake, the president said such values are embodied by the Congressional Black Caucus.

Biden has previously copped to being a “gaffe machine.”
Earlier this year during an interview with MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace, the president mistakenly referenced part of the Declaration of Independence while erroneously suggesting that he was referring to the Constitution.
He has mistakenly referred to Iraq while speaking about Ukraine.
He made comments during a speech this week and then swiftly made similar comments again during the same speech.
But while Biden has long been known for blunders, some contend that Biden’s mental acuity has declined. Already the oldest president in U.S. history, he would be 86 years old by the end of his second term if he gets re-elected in 2024.
Earlier this year, dozens of House Republicans signed a letter to the president, pressing him to take a cognitive test or else drop his re-election bid.
“The American people deserve complete transparency on the mental capabilities of their highest elected leader. Moreover, the United States’ national security relies on a cognitively sound Commander in Chief, and it is evident that you do not fit that bill. Therefore, we call on you to either renounce your bid for reelection or submit to a clinically validated cognitive screening assessment and make those results available to the public,” the letter stated.
