Though the smashy smashy didn’t start up until close to 10:00 PM, Portland Police were aware of this *PEACEFUL* “direct action” as early as 7:50 PM, when they begged the violent crowd to not destroy stuff. Police were nowhere to be seen during the destruction to prevent it from happening in the first place, only swooping in after the fact, then declaring it a riot.

Earlier in the day police shot and killed a man in outer Southeast, prompting a protest where far left journalist Justin Yau was targeted and beaten by the mobs.

Being a police detective for 30+ years, we were taught that no-one is “above the law” and crimes code says that anyone committing a serious felony like, arson, throwing molotov cocktails, aggravated assaults, shooting at police, can be shot. This is the only way these “above the law” terrorists can be stopped.
The democratic community is not doing anything to stop them and they are arresting our police officers for trying. Business owners, as in many states should be allowed to shoot looters.

The Portland riots and looting has been allowed to occur now for months without any significant federal, state, or local law enforcement intervention. This has been going for so long; it’s not even a major national news story anymore. We’ve become so immune to its daily occurrence; it no longer has any shock value. Our only option, short of a direct and forceful public response, is to completely ignore what they are doing. If the people of Portland and Oregon find this acceptable and THEY don’t do anything forceful to protect their community, then let it all burn to the ground and disappear. Let them suffer since they are so stupid they are not worthy of intervention.
I’m going to reply to my own statement:
It’s just a matter of time before events such as these begin to spread to other communities. Terrorists commit their violent acts to get attention for themselves and their motives. Since no one is paying attention to Portland anyone, sooner or later Antifa is going to push their efforts to burn and loot beyond Portland. A group or community is going to eventually say with significant force, “we’re not going to let it happen here”. When this forceful confrontation occurs resulting in hundreds or even a thousand deaths, only then will there be a response. Our country is like a huge bomb with a fuse that has been allowed to fester. A response to Antifa in some community will become the event that lights the fuse. Groups will rise up in hundreds if not thousands of communities insisting, it’s not going to happen here. It will become known in history as the “Second shot heard around the world”.
Where are the police, national guard and if necessary, active duty military? If these people in antifa and BLM want to be the first to start a civil war, lets go at it. These kind of actions by these criminals must be stopped. Do not hold back the police. The people of Portland must stop these criminal actions. They must let the mayor and city council know that this has gone far enough.
When your home becomes infested with vermin you call the exterminator and when your city is overrun by the same you eliminate the problem.
