The world’s most idiotic astrophysicist is at it again. After years of attempting to get social media right and failing, Neil deGrasse Tyson finally tweeted a hot take that wasn’t stunningly stupid, only to have fact-challenged leftists jump all over him.
A refresher:
His point about responding to spectacle may have been ill-timed, but it may be the most insightful thing he’s ever tweeted.
Here is what Dr. WTF came up with the last time he decided to weigh in after a shooting:
The quickest way to turn a PhD into a paste-eater is to have him parrot a liberal talking point.
When not sticking his foot in his Twitter mouth while taking a try at social commentary, Tyson is generally just trying to suck the life out of the room for no reason whatsoever with gems like this:
and this:
Tyson must not have learned about the bald eagle and its symbolism at Space Camp.
Rather than have a discussion about the “spectacle,” the media’s role in creating it, and whether it plays — as many of us suspect — a part in pushing these shooters over the edge, the frothing anti-gun Twitter hordes went off on Tyson.
Tyson quickly learned his lesson about interjecting facts, nuance, or any other sort of reality in into a leftist mob outrage cycle.
“Where I miscalculated was that I genuinely believed the Tweet would be helpful to anyone trying to save lives in America,”
Mr. Tyson wrote. “What I learned from the range of reactions is that for many people, some information — my Tweet in particular — can be true but unhelpful, especially at a time when many people are either still in shock, or trying to heal — or both.“So if you are one of those people, I apologize for not knowing in advance what effect my Tweet could have on you,” he continued
No word yet on whether Tyson plans to take a Twitter break before reflexively belching up leftist inanity.
