Liberal anti-Trump activist mocks Christian conservatives and faces a ‘s**tstorm’ of backlash

News & Politics

Liberal activist Amy Siskind fired off a dismissive tweet mocking conservative Christians and when she checked into her social media account later, she said there was a “s**tstorm” of backlash.

Siskind posted a popular meme that aimed to divide the United States into a country composed of the region with majority liberals united with Canada separated from those regions with majority conservatives.

“Proposed map. NY and CA are sick of supporting these red welfare states!” she tweeted.

The meme also referred to the latter as “Jesusland” to ridicule Christians.

Her missive was immediately met with an onslaught from those defending Christians and the political right.

Siskind deleted the tweet but screenshots were circulated by her critics.

Siskind later tweeted that she returned to her account to find a surprising amount of backlash.

“I sent a tweet in response to Limbaugh’s comments on secession that was meant to be cheeky in response to the hypocrisy of the GOP not wanting to “bail out” blue states w/ Covid. It was poorly written and the meme was a bad choice,” she said.

“Was offline for a few hours…and came back to the s**tstorm I had caused,” she added in a second tweet.

“My apologies to anyone offended. It was just sloppy work and I take the responsibility and will be more careful in constructing what I post. I am always a work in progress, but today I failed. Please accept my apology,” she added.

Many on Twitter definitely did not accept her apology.

“Hey @Amy_Siskind, You’re a bigot. That seems clear from the map you posted but let me tell ya something, I’d choose Jesusland 100 out of 100 times vs. living in the United Socialist States of leftist virtue signaling that’s hypocritically run by a guy who wore blackface for fun,” responded director Robby Starbuck.

“So you’re copying someone else’s map from 2004, taking the whitest states in the Union, and admitting liberals are godless… all in one tweet,” responded another social media user.

The phrase “Jesusland” also trended nationally on Twitter as thousands of people responded.

The ridicule of conservative Christians was especially egregious given the Democrat’s campaign to win the U.S. Senate by winning two runoff elections in Georgia, a state with conservative and Christian leanings.

  1. Wow! Normally liberals only threaten to go to Canada if Republicans are elected President.

Sarcasm aside, she criticizes the red states as being welfare states but most of the praise that the left has for Canada is because their policies are closer to them being a nanny state than the US currently is. She wants to leave the welfare states behind to join an even bigger welfare state? I know a lot of people don’t think before they post to social media but am amazed that one can get such a big following for their lack of thought.

  2. Offensive and stupid take just the last decade California has not respected its budget once ! Every year they BEG the federal government to bail them out oh we can’t pay our police, our fire etc.. Why because they get caught up in P/C projects that they know full well they do not have the money in the budget for. Every other state if you ask for something the governor will say we will try to put that in next years budget we just don’t have the money in the budget this year for it. You see this is called being responsible and using common sense if you have say a $100 dollars you can’t buy something worth $500.00 dollars you can’t use your electric bill money to pay the rent bill because when the rent bill comes in you can’t pay it simple math. This federal money we send year after year to bail out California is not free and not meant for this purpose. Our schools and our roads are suppose to get this money not a state that has proven the inability to follow a budget if California was a business they would send someone in to take it over. The state would not be allowed to spend a dime without approval and if it is not in the budget you don’t get it. This is not rocket science you could hire anyone who has run a business even a small business and they would know this. The ironic thing is that it is our religious beliefs that says hey help them out they can’t pay their police, their firemen etc.. If we were cold uncaring atheists we could say screw them they spent money that doesn’t belong to them that’s their problem. Instead since all Christians care about their fellow man it is us that bail out these states who give away money and have more free programs than any other state. California is the big Medicare state and people are moving out of California in droves i say to everyone reading this unless there was a natural disaster write your state rep and tell them you do not want your federal money going to California any more and tell them the rigging of elections are over so if they want to get re-elected they better do the will of their constituents or we will replace them.

  3. hell i kinda liked her map of splitting up the country. one thing though, i know of 5 more sttes that want to join the red states. they dont want to live under the godless communist rule either. thank you for being honest amy whoever you are. ive never heard of you but i like your idea.
