Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) has been named one of the least effective members of Congress, according to a study from non-partisan group Center for Effective Lawmaking.

According to the New York Post, Ocasio-Cortez, the youngest member of Congress, was among the “least effective members of the last Congress.”
“Ocasio-Cortez introduced a total of 21 bills that the center defined as ‘substantive’ — but that is where the story ends,” the outlet reported. “Her legislation received no action in committees, no floor votes, and none ever became law, according to the center, which takes its data from Congress.gov.”
Alan Wiseman, a Vanderbilt University political scientist and co-director of The Center for Effective Lawmaking, told the Post, “She introduced a lot of bills, but she was not successful at having them receive any sort of action in committee or beyond committee, and if they can’t get through committee, they cannot pass the House.”
“It’s clear that she was trying to get her legislative agenda moving and engage with the lawmaking process, but she wasn’t as successful as some other members were — even among [other] freshmen — at getting people to pay attention to her legislation,” Wiseman added.
Ocasio-Cortez, according to the group, ranked 230th out of 240 Democrats, and among New York’s 19 Democratic lawmakers, she ranked dead last.

The outlet pointed to a “Democratic House insider” who said that Ocasio-Cortez’s politics and demeanor rankled some of her fellow lawmakers.
“Tweeting is easy, governing is hard,” the insider said. “You need to have friends. You need to understand the committee process, you need to be willing to make sacrifices. Her first day in Congress … she decided to protest outside of Nancy Pelosi’s office.”
A second insider who reportedly worked with the congressman in the New York delegation said that Ocasio-Cortez has never been focused on legislation.
“It was media and narrative,” the source said.
She is not a healer of people but more of an inciter. She is a self centered individual with her own agenda.God only knows how she was re-elected to office.There must be better men and women out there that can do a much better job than her.
How was she even elected in the first place? She’s as nuts as the party she represents. Caution to the wise she may simply be preening herself to replace Pelosi.

There are 696,664 people in New Yorks 14th Congressional district. Of that 15,897 people voted for her, just 2.3% of her district. Enough said about NY’s 14th Congressional district which didn’t think it important enough to vote for anyone much less an ineffective representative like she has been. Doesn’t sound like she is representative of her entire district, but she is what they deserve since they didn’t care enough to vote for her or anyone else.
But yet the illiterate just check the box voters will keep her on. SMH.
