The New York Post reports:

Unemployed New Jerseyans who return to work could get a $500 bonus in their first paycheck under a state program unveiled Monday.

The “Return and Earn” program aims to curb labor shortages caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Gov. Phil Murphy said.

Ah, “labor shortages caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.” Anything in particular that led to them?

Small businesses have been hit with a shortage of workers amid the pandemic, with critics laying the blame on enhanced COVID-19 unemployment benefits.

So, to be more precise: The problem in New Jersey is that the federal government has been paying people not to work — a problem that New Jersey intends to counteract by . . . paying people to work instead.

Top men, our leaders. Top men.

  1. The labor shortages WERE NOT caused by Covid-19. They were caused by GOVERNMENT. The ‘responses’ were NEVER supported by anything remotely resembling science.

  2. Covid and Trump seem to be the reason for everything wrong, and a lot of people believe it. Wait for the big collapse, this is just the beginning. Shortages due to vaccine death, covid and walk outs. Then watch what happens to the rest of the world.
Here comes the “great reset.” No middle class, America last.

  3. Whatever happened to ‘work ethic’? Like the old saw, “Crime does not pay” has become, “Crime pays well”, being a social parasite pays better than working for a living!
