Joy Reid Invites Pelosi to Strategize How to Take Away Your Guns!

News & Politics

One day after the deadly school shooting at Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee by a hate-filled transgender activist, MSNBC’s racist ReidOut host, Joy Reid dedicated part of her one-on-one sitdown with recently ousted Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to what amounted to a strategy session on how to take away the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding Americans. There was no mention that the shooter was transgender. In fact, was as if the gun walked into the school and shot people on its own.

During the second half of the show, Reid turned to Pelosi and set the tone for the constitution-distaining segment. “We’re talking a lot about guns this evening. And it is a reminder that when you were running the House of Representatives, you actually did do something in terms of passing laws about guns,” Reid proclaimed before asking: “Why are we now hearing this paralysis?”

The gun-grabbing host let Pelosi rant about how to take away Americans’ firearms, which was disguised as an “assault weapon” ban:

These assault weapon bans are so lethal, so deadly, you can’t even describe how they tear a body apart internally. And we should have just had another one yesterday. I mean, this week, it’s so remarkable. Now, we passed an assault weapons ban in the ’90s. I was here in the House. Chuck Schumer was our leader. We know how to get this job done with this bill. We just have to be able to get the Republicans to give us 60 votes in the Senate to save lives. They say, well, it’s politically this or that. And I say to them, your political survival is nothing compared to the survival of our children in their schools, in their playgrounds, wherever they happen to be.

Looking down at her lapel, Pelosi pointed to a pin she was wearing which she called her “assault weapon ban pin” that she “got from the kids.”

“There’s something called generation lockdown. And these young kids, some of them were at the Marjory Stoneman school. Some of them other places, but young people who are taking the lead on getting an assault weapon ban. And one of them is in the Congress now,” Pelosi gushed, referring to the socialist Gen-Z Congressman Maxwell Frost (D-FL).

“Maxwell Frost,” Reid said in excitement.

“He’s so wonderful,” Pelosi swooned. “But I want this to be everybody’s best piece of jewelry. A ban on assault weapons.”

JOY REID: We’re talking a lot about guns this evening. And it is a reminder that when you were running the House of Representatives, you actually did do something in terms of passing laws about guns. Why are we now hearing this paralysis?

REP. NANCY PELOSI: Well, it is–I think it’s all about money. Big gun money. I’m not talking about lobbying money, NRA, that’s one thing. I’m talking about big money in the gun business.

So we have to get this done and I see this pin, it’s an assault weapon ban pin that I got from the kids.

There’s something called generation lockdown. And these young kids, some of them were at the Marjory Stoneman school. Some of them other places, but young people who are taking the lead on getting an assault weapon ban. And one of them is in the Congress now.

REID: Yeah

PELOSI: Maxwell I mean he’s—

REID: Maxwell Frost.

PELOSI: He’s so wonderful. But I want this to be everybody’s best piece of jewelry. A ban on assault weapons.
