MRC’s Brent Bozell Talks About Media Bias with Joe Concha on NYC Radio

News & Politics

MRC founder and president Brent Bozell appeared on Mark Simone’s radio show Monday on WOR in New York City, one of the top talk shows in the Big Apple. The guest host was our friend Joe Concha, who has been a guest on our MRC Cruise (and is slated for our next trip in November).

They talked about the terrible day in court for Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who’s trying to convict Trump in Georgia, but engaged in an office affair with a married man that created a conflict of interest. “We knew they were going to play the race card, and the gender card,” Bozell said. “This is what the Left always does.”

He quoted MSNBC’s Joy Reid speaking up for Willis: “She was insulted and rightfully so. This idea that women of color have to sit there and be demure and take it, there were people on social media saying ‘oh, she’s coming in too hot.’ No, she wasn’t. She was offended and she had a right to be offended.”

And he quoted Sunny Hostin on ABC’s The View:  “Look, I think as a woman she’s got a double standard because as you say, tons of men do things like this and there’s no problem. I think as a woman of color she even gets more scrutiny and we know that.”

AP posted a sob-sister story headlined “Fani Willis’ testimony evokes long-standing frustrations for Black women leaders.”

Later, Concha said it was “something quite remarkable” for the taxpayer-supported PBS NewsHour trying to blame Donald Trump for the death of Russian dissident Andrei Navalny. Their Friday night pundit Jonathan Capehart said,

We have been listening to Donald Trump saying, if NATO doesn’t pay its bills, well, then Russia can — quote — “do whatever the hell they want.” And so this sends an — I think, an incredibly chilling message, chilling message to the world that Vladimir Putin, for lots of reasons, probably feels very, very emboldened. And when there’s a major candidate running for president of the United States saying the things that he’s saying, Putin probably feels confident that, maybe come November, he will have a friend in the White House and he can do whatever the hell he wants.”

Bozell said bad actors from Putin to Hamas have been emboldened to wage war when they never dared to do these things under President Trump.
