Nine people were injured, three critically, in a drive-by shooting Thursday evening in Providence, Rhode Island.

The drive-by shooting happened around 7 PM in Providence’s Washington Park neighborhood and there was return fire from the house to the vehicles.

Providence Police Chief Hugh Clements said the victims are all between 19 and 25.

The shooting was not random and the police chief said the department is familiar with the “groups” involved.

The suspects are still at large according to Clements.

The police chief emphasized there is a “gun problem” on the streets rather than admitting there is a gang problem. Figures.
