Trump Thanks Musk For Confirming FBI Meddled In 2020 Election

News & Politics

Former President Donald J. Trump thanked Elon Musk for releasing information from Twitter’s internal files admitting that the FBI used the platform to meddle in the 2020 election.

On Friday evening, NewsBusters reported that the Federal Bureau of Investigation colluded with Twitter to censor Trump before the election.

Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton shared via tweet Trump’s “thank you” message from Truth Social.

“ELON: The Twitter releases are a revelation in that they show, in a very powerful fashion, the FBI and “Justice” illegally colluding, proving conclusively, in one more very powerful way, that the 2020 Presidential Election was Rigged & Stolen,” Trump said of the recent “Twitter Files” dump.

He asked Musk to release internal files on his permanent suspension from Twitter after the Jan. 6 riot.

“What everyone is REALLY waiting to see, however, is the Twitter information and thought process leading up to the time of the so-called ‘Election,’ and ultimately the ‘Deplatforming’ of the President of the United States. Big moment in history. Thank you!” he added.

Musk confirmed that the information would be forthcoming in another file drop “soon.”

“Coming soon…” he tweeted.

Journalist Matt Taibbi first reported that the process to ban Trump reflected an “erosion of standards within the company in months before [the Capitol Hill riot], decisions by high-ranking executives to violate their own policies, and more, against the backdrop of ongoing, documented interaction with federal agencies.”

Taibbi dropped a major bombshell and confirmed that the “intellectual framework” of Trump’s permanent ban from Twitter “was laid in the months preceding the Capitol riots.”

Musk’s decision to release the platform’s internal files reflects his promise to increase transparency when it comes to the company’s content moderation decisions.

He previously confirmed that Jim Baker, a former top FBI lawyer and later Deputy General Counsel at Twitter, personally interfered with a release of documents detailing the company’s handling of the Hunter Biden laptop scandal first reported by the New York Post.
