Nancy Pelosi calls McCarthy a coward for refusing to censure Marjorie Greene; says Dems will ‘take action’ against her

News & Politics

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) fired off an angry statement criticizing House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) for refusing to censure Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) and promised to take action.

Greene has been under fire for
comments she made on social media posts and videos extolling various conspiracy theories and advocating for the execution of Democratic politicians.

A campaign to unseat her from Congressional committees was stymied on Wednesday when McCarthy released a
statement condemning the past statements by Greene, but refusing to take action against her.

Pelosi released an angry
statement that identified McCarthy as being a member of the “Q” party, which likely stands for the QAnon conspiracy theory that Greene had espoused in the past.

“After several conversations and literally running away from reporters, Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (Q-CA) made clear that he is refusing to take action against conspiracy theorist Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene. As a result, the House will continue with a vote to strip Greene of her seat on the esteemed House Committee on Education & Labor and House Committee on Budget. McCarthy’s failure to lead his party effectively hands the keys over to Greene – an anti-Semite, QAnon adherent and 9/11 Truther,” claimed Pelosi.

She went on to contrast McCarthy’s “cowardly” refusal to take action to the stern statements from Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and other Republicans against Greene.

“As No 2. Senate Republican John Thune warned Tuesday, McCarthy has chosen to make House Republicans ‘the party of conspiracy theories and QAnon’ and Rep. Greene is in the driver’s seat,” she concluded.

Greene has refused to apologize for the comments publicly but in one statement
she claimed that the questionable posts were made by members of her team who had access to her Facebook account. Later she deleted a number of Facebook posts and tweets that contained the controversial statements.

Earlier on Wednesday, Greene issued a defiant tweet in response to her critics.

“We know who they all are. We owe them no apologies We will never back down,” she said.

  1. The Republicans can Green the day Pelosi and Democrats censure Ohmar, AOC and Harrison for their comments on Social media calling for continued riots, bailing out rioters who looted and burned their own cities. When they censure Maxine Waters for calling for her followers to form crowds and run Trump supporters out of town after he was legitimately elected President even before he took office and frequently for 4 years.
For 4 years the House Democrats spewed conspiracy after conspiracy. Spent millions and were unable to prove him guilty of their conspiracy but pushed to Impeach anyway, not for the conspiracy but because they claimed he tried to interfere with their investigations. Not even enough evidence to present to the Senate for the trial, they were even demanding the Senate to call people in to further their investigation as they didn’t have enough to convict.
Anyone who disagreed was a racist white supremist who seemed according to them to be coming from the woodworks and every white male who didn’t bend knee to them was a White Supremist with no defense allowed. Even the black latino leader of the Proud Boys was labeled White Supremist or at least his group was and are being setup as terrorist. While BLM & Antifa protest lead to months of riots, looting and burning into billions of dollars of damage was mostly peaceful protest, those who protested for Trump at the Capital were domestic terrorist. Yet they did less damage at the Capital than at ANY city where a BLM protest took place. Yes 5 died, one Capital Police officer (the person guilty of killing him should be locked away for life) but the other four were from the protestor side. They talked about fear, and armed insurrectionist the only shots fired were by the police & secret service who shot through a window killing an unarmed protestor. There was very limited damage, no fires started. They were out in an hour and many in the videos were actually walking down the taped & roped off paths looking more like tourist than insurrectionist. The worst thing they did was give ammunition to Democrats to attack the conservative right and the ability to label anyone who didn’t agree with them as insurrectionist, white supremist, conspiracy nuts. That storming of the Capital did more damage to conservative Republicans and gave more power to the Socialist Democrats than any actions in last 50 years.

    1. A J Farmer whoever you are should be given a nobel prize for keen observation. At least for me seeing you take Pelosi’s place would be a prayer answered
