Former President Donald Trump lashed out at Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell in a speech on Saturday, denouncing the Kentucky Republican as a “dumb son of a b***h” for not defending his election challenges.

Speaking with major Republican National Committee donors at his Mar-a-Lago resort, Trump said that now-Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) would have fought for Trump if they were members of the same party.
“If that were Schumer instead of this dumb son of a b***h Mitch McConnell they would never allow it to happen. They would have fought it,” Trump said, the Washington Post reported.
“I hired his wife. Did he ever say thank you?” Trump later added, referring to Elaine Chao, who served as Trump’s transportation secretary.
Later in the speech, Trump promised that Republicans would retake Congress and the White House in 2022 and 2024, but did not say whether he would seek a second presidential term.
“I stand before you this evening filled with confidence that in 2022, we are going to take back the House and we are going to reclaim the Senate. And then in 2024, a Republican candidate is going to win the White House,” Trump said, according to prepared remarks seen by Reuters. Trump later tossed the prepared speech, the Post reported.

Despite their positive working relationship when Trump was president, McConnell and the former president have traded barbs since Trump’s election loss, particularly after the deadly U.S. Capitol riots.
In fact, McConnell directly blamed Trump for the violence following Trump’s second impeachment trial, which resulted in Trump’s second acquittal. McConnell voted “not guilty” on grounds the proceedings were not constitutional.
“There’s no question — none — that President Trump is practically and morally responsible for provoking the events of [Jan. 6],” McConnell said on the Senate floor.
In that speech, McConnell also emphasized that Trump has not been criminally absolved for his actions in office.
“President Trump is still liable for everything he did while he’s in office, as an ordinary citizen, unless the statute of limitations has run,” McConnell said.
“He didn’t get away with anything — yet, yet,” McConnell added. “We have a criminal justice system in this country. We have civil litigation, and former presidents are not immune from being held accountable by either one.”
However, McConnell later admitted that he would support Trump if the former president wins the 2024 Republican presidential nomination.

Trump is 100% right when he says that the Democrats would have fought like hell if the tables were turned, and he has ever right to be upset with McConnel (and others) for not supporting him. This goes a lot deeper than not supporting him on the issue of election fraud. In his first two terms the Republicans controlled both houses and yet Trump was hard pressed to get anything passed by Congress. As soon as the Dems got the majority in the House the Republicans started blaming them for why nothing got done in support of the President, like none of us were watching the first two years? The social media censorship of all things conservative started at least two years before the 2020 election, but no one did anything to either stop it of slow it down. The more they got away with the bolder they got to the point where they (as well as the Lame Street Media, censored both the President and the National Press Secretary (who gets paid to inform us what is going on at our White House!).. yet what did Congress say/do???? Crickets! When the Supreme court decided not to hear any of the election challenges, where was Congress (there should have been Congressional hearings at the very least!). Finally, when our last hope of saving the country from total socialist take over rested on the results of the Georgia Senate run off elections, and Trump was doing his best to help save those two seats for Conservative Republicans, McConnell came out against the $2,000.00 individual stimulus checks the Trump had been supporting…. How many votes did the Republicans candidates lose because the Democrats were promising all these voters $2,000.00 while the top Republican was actively saying he would not support more than $600.00???? Truth be told, McConnell is one of the “swamp creatures” that opposed Trump every chance he got hoping to speed his departure from the White House before his cushy position was lost.
Trump accomplished a lot, and could/would have done so much more with the support of the Republican Party. While there is a long list of great accomplishments to his credit, perhaps the most important have to do with exposing the complete bias of the established media (FAKE NEWS), and the lack of integrity of our election process. The article is incorrect — it ways Trump lost the election. The election was fraudulent and Biden did NOT win. McConnell (and his wife) has been closely tied and controlled by the CCP for many years. Any American citizen participating in election fraud should be charged with treason. The foreigners involved should be charged for acts of war.
