Natalie Portman was asked if new Thor movie is the ‘gayest’ Marvel movie ever made: ‘Yes. I love that!’

News & Politics

Hollywood actress Natalie Portman was asked if her newest movie was the “gayest” film in the Marvel Universe ever, and she happily agreed to that interpretation.

Portman was being interviewed by Andrew Freund of Dish Nation about the movie “Thor: Love and Thunder” when she made the comments.

“Natalie, is it safe to say that this is gayest movie ever made in the [Marvel Cinematic Universe]?” he asked.

“Uhm, I love that reading of it!” Portman responded, laughing. “Yes, I love that!”

“I mean you’re flying on rainbows, or am I imagining it?” Freund asked.

“I mean, that is the core of the comics, I fell like that’s where it all started, it’s very true to the source material, I think,” she responded.

In April, many on the left went on the attack against actor Chris Pratt over the release of the trailer to the newest Thor movie. The trailer featured one scene where the Thor character implied a homosexual affinity for Pratt’s character, and many on the left mocked him based on their bigoted opinions against religious comments he had previously made.

Later, Pratt claimed that the furious criticism against him was misguided because he wasn’t really that religious at all.

Portman has also openly declared her political leanings when she joined other left-wing celebrities to make an anti-Trump video ahead of the inauguration of former President Donald Trump in 2017. She was also the object of scorn by fellow actress Rose McGowan after Portman wore a garment to the Oscars ceremony as a sort of feminist protest in February 2020.

“Thor: Love and Thunder” with Portman and Chris Hemsworth will be released to theaters on July 8.
