Jennifer Aniston says she is ‘so over’ cancel culture: ‘Is there no redemption?’

Hollywood actress Jennifer Aniston spoke out against cancel culture and revealed her uncomfortable experiences with the notorious Harvey Weinstein.

The “Friends” star made the comments during an interview with Wall Street Journal Magazine.

“I’m so over cancel culture. I probably just got canceled by saying that,” said Aniston.

“I just don’t understand what it means,” she added. “Is there no redemption? I don’t know. I don’t put everybody in the Harvey Weinstein basket.”

Weinstein, 71, is serving a 39-year prison sentence after being convicted of rape and sexual assault. The Hollywood producer was rumored to have taken advantage of his industry stature to sexually assault and harass actresses. His downfall was one of the major incidents that fueled the “Me Too” movement.

Aniston said that she had met with Weinstein but made sure she didn’t do so alone.

“He’s not a guy, you’re like, ‘God, I can’t wait to hang out with Harvey.’ Never,” she explained. “You were actually like, ‘Oh, God, OK, suck it up.’ I remember actually, he came to visit me on a movie to pitch me a movie. And I do remember consciously having a person stay in my trailer.”

Aniston has spoken out against political correctness before. In March she decried how comedy has changed so as not to offend the sensitivities of the audience.

“Now it’s a little tricky because you have to be very careful, which makes it really hard for comedians, because the beauty of comedy is that we make fun of ourselves, make fun of life,” she explained.

She said that a new generation of people is going back to watch “Friends,” but they’re finding some of the jokes offensive.

“Everybody needs funny! The world needs humor! We can’t take ourselves too seriously. Especially in the United States,” Aniston added.

“Everyone is far too divided,” she concluded.
