The families of three men found dead outside of a home near Kansas City are demanding answers after police indicated there were no signs of foul play.

The three friends were all their thirties and had reportedly gotten together to watch an NFL football game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers on Jan. 7 at a home in suburban Northland.

Their families began to get worried when they didn’t hear back from any of the trio and they couldn’t get a hold of the owner of the home where they were to meet. Two days later, on Tuesday, the fiancée of one of the men went to the home and broke in in order to get inside after no one answered at the door.

She reportedly called police after finding a body on the back porch.

Kansas City police found the other bodies of the two men at the home after they investigated.

The homeowner reportedly told police that the three died as a result of the freezing temperature in the area.

Police confirmed to NewsNation that they were not investigating the deaths as a homicide, meaning they had not yet found evidence of foul play.

Jennifer Marquez, the mother of 37-year-old victim David Harrington, says the families of the men are outraged.

“I’m furious. Everybody is furious,” she said. “Nobody believes this story. None of his friends, none of the families, none of us believe it.”

The other victims were identified as 38-year-old Ricky Johnson and 36-year-old Clayton McGeeney. Police said their bodies were found in the backyard of the home.

Police said they are awaiting cause of death results from the medical examiner’s office. They have made no arrests and say that the homeowner is cooperating with the investigation.

Marquez said her family will never be the same now that her son is gone.

“It’s a huge loss. He’s everything,” she said. “He’s a brother, he has a sister and a brother. They’re missing him and they are broken hearted. They will never see their brother again.”

A relative of Johnson set up a GoFundme account to help pay for funeral costs.
