Does This Mean They’ll Shut Up Soon?
Friends, Americans, and Democrats, we’re finally getting somewhere in the political root canal they’re calling an impeachment inquiry. The Dems are going to announce articles of impeachment today, neither of which involve the word “bribery,” which they’ve been barfing up like toddlers with a stomach flu for the last two months.

After all of the shrieking drama coming from the Democrats the past few months, “abuse of power” and “obstructing Congress” sound like half-hearted “Daddy’s mean to me” complaints. We get it, you snot-bubbling babies, you don’t like him.
Kira wrote at RedState yesterday that the Democrats are really impeaching America:
No, impeachment isn’t about impeaching Donald Trump…it is about impeaching the American voter. It’s a punishment. The Democrats and the ideological Left have been angry at the rest of the country for three years now, and it is their intention to make us pay for daring to buck their rules.
The utter pointlessness of the impeachment charade is what is so frustrating. The Democrats are still upset that their long game with the Mueller report laid and egg and left them with nothing. This pathetic Ukrainian do-over of theirs won’t be given the kindest treatment by history, no matter how infused with righteousness their indignation may seem to them at the moment.
It’s obvious that the Democrats want to get this wrapped up quickly. While most of them have a burning case of impeachment fever, I suspect that Nancy Pelosi has a cooler head. She finally relented on heading forward with the inquiry so it could get done now rather than closer to the election. She knew there would be fallout and wanted to minimize the damage. It may be too late for that, though. As I wrote in last Friday’s Briefing, Team Trump is working impeachment to perfection from a campaign fundraising standpoint.
For now, I am in favor of anything that gets Adam Schiff’s or Jerry Nadler’s ugly mugs out of the news.
Make “They” Go Away
Merriam-Webster just gave the personal pronoun “they” the word of the year title:
Merriam-Webster recently added a new definition to its online dictionary to reflect use of “they” as relating to a person whose gender identity is nonbinary. In October, the American Psychological Assn. endorsed “they” as a singular third-person pronoun in its latest style guide for scholarly writing.
Of all of the wokeness that I am not very woke about, the pronoun nonsense probably holds the least hope for me every achieving wokeitude. I am still too much a fan of science to believe that there are 6,000 genders that we can all begin identifying as by age three.
An individual calling himself or herself “they” it sounds like we’re dealing with multiple personality issues.
He, him. She, her.
