Former President Donald Trump delivered a scathing rebuke of Major League Baseball’s decision to pull its 2021 All-Star Game out of Georgia, calling for a boycott of baseball and all “woke” companies seeking to interfere with voting reforms.

MLB Commissioner Robert Manfred Jr. announced Friday that the league was stripping its All-Star Game and the draft from Atlanta, citing Georgia’s recently-passed election law.
The sweeping legislation requires that absentee ballots be verified with photo ID, expands early voting for primary and general elections, and puts added securing measures in place for ballot dropboxes. Gov. Brian Kemp (R) signed the bill into law last week, sparking fury from Democrats who say the reforms restrict voting rights.
Late that night, Trump issued a statement of his own, saying that “baseball is already losing tremendous numbers of fans, and now they leave Atlanta with their All-Star Game because they are afraid of the Radical Left Democrats who do not want voter I.D., which is desperately needed, to have anything to do with our elections.”
“Boycott baseball and all of the woke companies that are interfering with Free and Fair Elections,” he continued, adding, “Are you listening Coke, Delta, and all!”

The former president was not alone in criticizing the MLB for its move. Gov. Kemp reacted to the news by saying that “Georgians — and all Americans — should fully understand what the MLB’s knee-jerk decision means: cancel culture and woke political activists are coming for every aspect of your life, sports included.”
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) posted a list of MLB’s official sponsors to his Twitter feed with the message, “These are MLB’s corporate sponsors, who pressured to pull the All Star game out of Atlanta. Do all of them oppose voter ID? Are all of them willing to be the woke enforcers of the corrupt Democratic Party? And do all hate the 75m who voted for Trump?”

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) pointed out that MLB has a recruitment deal with communist Cuba, asking the league, “how many dropboxes does Cuba use for early voting?”

Cotton was one of many who pointed out the position MLB has put itself in by trying to punish Georgia over politics.
Reporters were quick to note that several states have more restrictive voting laws than Georgia already on the books, leading to questions over what the MLB’s new standards are for a state to host the All-Star Game.
The new Georgia law does not restrict legal voting, it will help with restricting voter fraud and cheating! The restricting of voter fraud and cheating is what the Dims don’t like.

Interesting that you need an ID to pick up “will call” tickets for a sporting event but they have a problem with showing an ID to vote. Yes, Democrats, keep pushing for boycotts of all Georgia businesses. Here we go again with a sport that makes multi millionaires out of hundreds of it’s ballplayers, both US citizens and non citizens trying to make uninformed political statements that are pure rhetoric and BS. The NBA took this stance. The NFL took this stance. US Women’s Soccer took this stance. I’ve seen high school sport teams turn their backs as well as kneeling on the playing of the National Anthem.
My wife and I have stopped watching professional sports as their political BS does not belong on the the field of play. They can protest all they want outside of the stadium or in the locker room as guaranteed by the First Amendment.

MLB is now history to me as well as the NFL. I haven’t watched a football in 3 years and my wife is elated. Baseball made an incredibly STUPID decision rather than just ignoring the fact that the law was passed and play the game. What they’re likely to find is that many states already have similar laws. What are they going to do when they can only play the game in NYC or in California? Incredibly foolish decision.

When businesses go against one group of people for another group of people, then it is our responsibility to put them “out of business”. The CEO of Delta in particular should have kept his mouth shut and just do what he was hired to do – run Delta. His opinion on what the citizens and government officials want for their state is of no concern of his. If he wants to make decisions for a state, then he needs to resign from his high-paying job with Delta and run for a government office in those states that he disagrees with. The same goes for the bozos over at Coke and Home Depot. You would think that people intelligent enough to become CEOs of a large business would have taken the time to have read what was in the bill; but instead, they listened to their liberal democrat comrades in the media and in governmental positions and assumed they were telling the truth without actually reading the document. Is this how they run those companies? In their positions as CEOs, do they sign contracts without reading them because someone else says “here is what is in the contract, just sign it and move on” and not bother to read it for themselves? I know that my family will never visit another ML Baseball stadium for a game. We can spend our money on much better sports, such as Little League or High School Baseball. They are alot cheaper, better parking, and more fun anyhow.
