Authorities have said that Chicago police officers responded to a city alleyway for reports of gunfire. When they arrived, they discovered Adam and a man. One officer ended up chasing the 13-year-old — who police said was armed — and shot him in the chest behind Farragut Career Academy High School.
Adam’s mother was not notified of her son’s death until two days after the incident, and authorities waited an additional three days to publicly reveal that Adam was just 13 years old.

According to a Chicago Police Department memo to officers, Latin King members were “likely to shoot at unmarked police vehicles” following Toledo’s death.
The alert comes from department leaders warning that the narcotics unit learned that “factions of the Latin Kings” were reportedly “instructed by ranking members” to shoot at police officers.
The alert did not state why the gang would be retaliating against officers.
According to the outlet, the city’s Civilian Office of Police Accountability vowed it would show the “troubling video footage” of the encounter to the family, and then release it to the public.

If someone points a gun at me – I will shoot them and so will the police – or anyone who wants to live. These are not “parents” – they are baby factories and the government is as responsible as they are. Free breakfast, lunch and after school snacks, food stamps to sell, a subsidized lifestyle – and yes – these kids can go days without the parents knowing where they are – the parents want the government to raise the kids – it does not take a village – it takes two parents. If the courts would quit finding for the wanna be hoodlums who put the police in an impossible position and support law enforcement, things would be different. I would not be a cop today for all the tea in China – they can not even look at a minority, let alone hold them responsible for breaking laws, without getting in trouble. And their names should never be publicly revealed, nor any “manifesto” so they die in anonymity. This will help stop copy cat killers who want to suicide by police, but go out making a name for themselves thinking it will make them remembered for something. Killers should not be discriminated by race, a killer is a killer period. And if proved to be bad cop, when caught and proven in court, they are no longer cop just bad and treated like the ones they arrested or harassed or hustled. They usually wouldn’t survive long in jail if other inmates find they were cops anyway.

One way to create a responsible environment among the poor community, white or black is to round up all the gang members in a city ( ie Chicago) load the on buses (no matter how many it takes) drive them to Camp Pendleton Marine training base in Southern California and give them all 12 weeks of Marine Corp boot camp! THAT will make responsible, disciplined men out of all of them. Some may wind up serving some brig time during the 12 weeks, but the military will either “make or break them”! Problem of Chicago, Detroit and other gang cities SOLVED!
This is the result of the ending of the military draft in 1974. Two generations have grown up in the last 45 years since then, now working on a third. I served 20 years in the Air Force in Law Enforcement, enlisted in 1968 at age 18. I had no direction, recognized that fact and decided to make something of myself. It was not easy and not fun, but I needed the discipline and structure at that time. That is what is needed today. When I returned to the neighborhood, I was shocked at how much my friends had changed in the space of 5 months after boot camp and tech school, when the reality was that I had changed. An alternate plan is to have every male and female register for the draft, with their choice of the military or community service for two years. This gets them off the streets, allows them to mature and gives them the discipline and structure that they need. In return, they get two years of free community college. After that it is up to them, but they would have the tools in place to give them the incentive to succeed in life and end the brutal cycle that society is trapped in. This also benefits communities that are short on volunteers, so its a win-win for everybody.
Can we ship off every LEFTIST Democrat to Camp Pendleton while we’re at it? That’d really really make my day. Actually, it’d make pretty much everyone’s day. Well, except the people who profiteer off the democrat party that is.

i left Chicago almost as soon as i could walk , if I were 13 and lived in Chicago I would want a gun also , I got my first gun of my own when I was 8 ,I never got molested or robbed several other children I was friends with were molested and raped. If the bad guys think you might shoot them they tend to leave you alone. Police ,good cops don’t bother children with guns if they are behaving themselves , the sheriff knew I had a gun and gave me a card if I had a problem with a police man , just to show the card. Now they call them concealed carry permits.
