Jefferson County, West Virginia, is now a Second Amendment Sanctuary.
The resolution passed with an overwhelming 4-0 vote on Thursday evening.
“Yesterday, I made a post letting the citizens of Jefferson County know that a resolution will be brought to the table to vote in favor of Jefferson County becoming a Second Amendment Sanctuary county for law abiding citizens,” Jefferson County Commissioner Tricia Jackson wrote on Facebook. “I am pleased to announce that the resolution passed overwhelmingly at 4-0. Commissioner Tabb abstained from voting.”
The evening before the vote, Jackson wrote “as your county commissioner, I recognize the second amendment and fully support it. I will use my full due diligence to protect your God given rights.”

As a sanctuary county, local law enforcement will not use any resources to enforce any unconstitutional gun laws.
The resolution had wide support throughout the county, which is solidly red.
In West Virginia, 33 out of 55 counties, 3 cities, and 3 towns have adopted Second Amendment sanctuary (or other pro-Second Amendment) resolutions.
It looks like I’ll have to move to west Virginia to maintain my God given rights. Unless I can get my county to do the same as they did. You Go guys !!!
Every single patriotic, legal American citizen in the United States of America should forward this to their respective counties commissioners with the message that those commissioners will be voted out if they do not follow suit.

Columbia county in Oregon voted to become a second amendment sanctuary county. We got enough people to put it on the ballot and voted it in 2020 election.
Congratulations! Now if we can get all the other states to become sanctuary states from the federal government we will be walking in tall cotton. Big government has gotten too big for their britches.

West Virginia seems to be a little behind in the 2nd Amendment Sanctuary movement.
96% of Virginia’s County, Cities and Towns all became 2nd Sanctuaries 2 years ago, along with several other States. WV has some catching up to do.
Does any one have a list of the SANTUARY COUNTIES OR STATES?
The government does but they won’t release it.

91 of 95 Virginia counties (~96%) have adopted 2nd Amendment Sanctuary — brought about by the anti-gunners’ take over of the state legislature. Am hoping West Virginia will end up beating that percentage!

What are the three cities? And like Steve B says I also was raised with firearms, first as a youngster in Dallas, then joined the military where I shot the M1 and the 1911 45. Then after the military joined three police departments where I qualified on the great S&W Mod 10 (a super accurate gun) Now proficient in the Glack 17. The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution protects the right to keep and bear arms. It was ratified on December 15, 1791, along with nine other articles of the Bill of Rights. What I’d like to know is, does anti-gun legislation also include criminals? Or are they exempt? In other words, I’ll turn in my small arsenal, but only if all criminals do the same, and to that, I just say ok let me hold my breath.

Nope not a 2nd amendment county. They still follow federal rules that deny people that are allowed to own guns from buying them. This is just a catch frazee to make some people feel good. I am allowed to buy guns in my home state, but when I find a pistol I’ve been looking for their, they will not sell it to me. So much for the second amendment.
