After poor showing in Iowa GOP presidential caucus, Ramaswamy drops out, endorses Trump

Author and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, who came in a distant fourth place in Iowa’s GOP presidential caucus, has dropped out and endorsed former President Donald Trump.

Trump won the contest on Monday, trouncing the rest of the GOP presidential primary field, though the delegates will be allocated proportionally based on how much of the vote each candidate won.

Ramaswamy said that he called Trump to congratulate him on the win and told him that he had his endorsement.

Last month, Trump had predicted that Ramaswamy would endorse him.
