Who Could Argue with Dan Rather?

No, seriously. With whom is he arguing here?

Nobody of any standing — certainly nobody worth listening to — is asserting otherwise. Of course the history of slavery and Jim Crow must be taught.

The Intercept’s Lee Fang offers a glimpse here at what the debate Dan Rather is referencing actually is about. So do Daniel Buck and Anthony Kinnett, writing for National Review.

It’s almost as if some in the commentariat haven’t bothered to inspect the CRT debate in good faith, as if doing so might require them to drop the “racism” narrative in explaining the Virginia election results, and as if, suspecting this, they stick with a fallacious reading that upholds this tidy telling.
