Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert is taking on three of President Joe Biden’s flurry of executive orders that he signed within days of being sworn in.
The freshman lawmaker introduced her first bill in Congress. In fact, she introduced her first three bills in Congress, and they all target Biden’s executive orders.

In one of Biden’s first actions in office, he rejoined the Paris Agreement on Climate Change. Boebert’s bill would prevent the United States from spending any money on the Paris Agreement until the treaty is ratified by the Senate.
“Joe Biden took an oath to uphold the U.S. Constitution. If he wants to keep it, he must transmit the job-killing Paris Agreement to the U.S. Senate for ratification,” Boebert said in a statement. “Unilaterally entering the Paris Agreement was wrong in 2016 and it’s wrong now. Responsible energy production supports more than 230,000 Colorado jobs. The Paris Agreement puts these jobs at risk and will increase energy costs.”
Biden signed an executive order reversing former President Donald Trump’s decision to leave the World Health Organization. Rep. Boebert’s bill would “prohibit the availability of United States contributions to the World Health Organization until Congress receives a full report on China and the COVID–19 pandemic.”
“The WHO is China-centric and panders to Beijing at every turn,” the representative from Colorado claimed. “There is no reason U.S. taxpayers should contribute more than $400 million annually to an organization that covered for China and failed to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
“We must not let the Chinese Communist Party off the hook,” Boebert said. “We must hold the WHO accountable. Joe Biden failed to do either of those things and his edict yesterday only emboldens Beijing. Rejoining the WHO without ensuring accountability for the American people is the wrong move.”
Earlier this month, the State Department revealed that it had new evidence that may point to coronavirus emerged from a virology laboratory in Wuhan. China has denied the allegations that COVID-19 originated from the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
Trump halted all funding to the WHO in April. In 2019, the United States was the top funder of the WHO, providing over $400 million, which is about 15% of its budget.
The third bill would overturn the Biden administration’s mask mandate on all federal property and federal buildings. Biden’s executive order also applies to interstate commerce, which means requiring face masks to be worn at airports, on planes, buses, and trains.
“You can’t make this stuff up. Joe Biden was on federal land without a mask the same day he signed a federal property mask mandate,” Boebert chided. “Sadly, this is what we’ve come to expect from hypocritical Democrats. ‘Mandates for thee, but not for me.'”
On Inauguration Day, Biden was maskless on a federal property only hours after signing an executive order that requires Americans to wear face masks on federal property.
Cosponsors of Boebert’s bills include Reps. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.), Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.), Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.), Mo Brooks (R-Ala.), Tedd Budd (R-N.C.), Ben Cline (R-Va.), Bob Good (R-Va.), Yvette Herrell (R-N.M.), Doug LaMalfa (R-Calif.), Mary Miller (R-Ill.), Alex Mooney (R-W.Va.), August Pfluger (R-Texas), Randy Weber (R-Texas), Jeff Duncan (R-S.C.), Jody Hice (R-Ga.), Ralph Norman (R-S.C.), and David Rouzer (R-N.C.).
None of these bills are expected to gain much traction in the Democratic-controlled House.
Previously, Boebert caused a foofaraw after she said that she was going to bring her firearm to work with her at the Capitol. Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez later grumbled that she didn’t “feel safe around other members of Congress.”

I’m afraid that I’ve had enough of the Republican party, in spite of a handful of them NOW getting off of their duffs and doing what they should have been doing as a party all along. They wouldn’t stand with President Trump, threw him repeatedly under the bus and now, after seeing a huge exodus from the repub party, a few of them are trying to get in our good graces by NOW standing up against the Dems. I’m disgusted with the entire party. It’s all smoke and mirrors. I’m through with them.
Time to reverse Biden’s crazy immigration executive orders as well! Go through the courts if necessary. Stopping work on the southern border wall, no more deportations (mostly criminals that have gone through the court system) for 100 days, open borders for all and 8 year path to citizenship for all illegals in the U.S. (could be up to 25 million). This is insane. As a legal immigrant where it took me 17 years for citizenship (10 for green card and 7 for citizenship) I wonder about equal justice. When I went through my interview for my green card, the lady who interviewed me told me that it takes so much time for legal immigrants because they have to spend so much time with illegal immigrants. What has happened to the rule of law? Can one biased person who happens to be President change laws at his whim??? This will cause all kinds of problems for Americans.

No conservative gains can be made until the influence of the Dominion voting machines has been nullified. But there is nothing wrong with wearing masks, mandated or not. By the end of 2021 we might be reaching the point of herd immunity (85%) if Biden doesn’t screw up the vaccine distribution system now in place.
I have worn a mask religiously since the cdc “suggested” it. Recently, I was released from the hospital AFTER being treated for the chicom/demonrat virus. The masks are just part of the people control that the lying thieves in charge are using. IF they worked, as suggested, the virus would be dying out, but it isn’t. Just more demonrat lies. We will beat it , but not with their help. ALL senior demonrats from the local levels up, should be infected with their virus and be made to suffer the consequences of their greed and stupidity
Biden like Obama CANNOT just sign and join the Paris Climate Accord. That is a treaty and must be debated and voted on by Congress. The WHO is just corrupt and does pretty much nothing except spend money. Biden can mandate people wear masks but when he did not wear his like his own mandate says, he pretty much said go ahead, it doesn’t matter.
Masks wearing does have a problem, that is that if you use a disposable or over use a non disposable mask more than once without a cleaning process it can cause more problems than the virus. They cannot prove that they along with lock downs and closing down dining have made any reduction in the amount of virus cases than the the states where they did not lock down, look at New York and California versus Florida (with a much larger older population) and less deaths. When they wanted everyone to bring their own bag to the grocery store they found out that they were not sanitized and spread nasty germs so you do not hear them pushing this anymore. It is all to see how far the elites/politicians can push the populous into doing their will without major push back.
Not only was Biden seen maskless within hours after signing his mask mandate for anyone on federal property but also his press Secretary came to the podium for her first press conference maskless as has Dr Fauci. Biden continues to sit at the desk signing executive orders maskless with other people including V P Harris in the background.
It’s just another case of do as I tell you to do but these orders do not apply to us. Or do as I say not as I do.
