President Joe Biden is having a heckuva time getting Americans to appreciate just how great he’s doing in office.
Forget the bad job numbers.
Never mind inflation.
Ignore those energy bills.
He and his party want Americans to believe that he’s really winning. How else do you explain the painfully embarrassing graph (for which congressional Democrats were roundly mocked) that praised the president for … a 1.8-cent drop in gas prices over a two-week period?
But a new poll from the Trafalgar Group show their efforts are failing miserably — including among their own party members, as well as independents. Overall, 59% of Americans disapprove of the job Biden is doing, while 36% approve.
Naturally, Republicans gave Biden failing marks, with about 90% disapproving of his job performance, including 85% who “strongly disapprove.”
The truly damning numbers come from Democrats and independents.
According to Trafalgar, nearly one-third (31%) of Democrats disapprove of the job Biden is doing. That includes a quarter of Dems who “strongly disapprove” of his work.
And among independents, the president is doing even worse. Almost two-thirds (62%) of independents give Biden a thumbs-down, including 29% who “strongly disapprove.”
